The official Nandyal temple page describes the Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple at Owk, built under Sri Krishnadevaraya by the jagirdar Nandyala Krishnama Raju in the 16th century, whose Tirunala is the most prominent in the surrounding Rayalaseema region.
